Microsoft’s Solution Accelerator for Project

<Frothy coffee>

One of the major announcements at Ignite was a solution Accelerator for the new Project, aka, Project for the Web (P4W).  The accelerator is being developed by Microsoft and will include items such as project requests, issues, risks, programmes, and will create some additional functionality for P4W to bring it more inline with the existing Project Online solution.

The solution accelerator is likely to be released on GitHub in CY 2020Q4 to partners and customers alike.  It’s worth noting that this is unlikely to be supported code, however it will be fully functioning and it’ll be written and documented in such as way that you modify and extend it for your own needs.

In terms of licencing, Microsoft are currently bedding this down, but they hope you’ll online need a P3 or P5 licence to use it (so no additional Microsoft Automate licences req’d).

George Bullock presented two sessions at Ignite, one introducing the accelerator which viewed here, and a follow up Ask the Experts session which can be viewed here.
